Bilsborrow-based marketing and digital agency Farm Creative has won Best Rural Creative or Media-Based Business at the annual Rural Business Awards.
The highly sought after Rural Business Awards, which were held at Denbies Wine Estate in Surrey, work in partnership with Amazon and CLA and give recognition to businesses across the UK “to acknowledge and celebrate the vital contributions made by companies to the development and success of the rural sector and rural way of life. They also encourage entrepreneurial spirit in the rural sector, and give recognition to excellence in business set-up, operation and management.”
To win the award, the judging panel recognised that Farm Creative had demonstrated the journey they have taken towards establishing a business that is excelling in its chosen market. This was demonstrated by sharing a clear strategy, with an understanding of the marketplace as well as targets that have been met or exceeded in relation to growth performance.
Steve Edwards, Openreach’s Director of Fibre Broadband Clients said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of the awards. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get together and celebrate the very best rural businesses and the hear some of their inspiring stories. This year has seen entries from 52 counties in the UK and there have been nearly three times as many entries for the Rural Business Awards as in 2016.”
Managing Director, Helen Stuart said: “Competing amongst the UK’s top rural businesses, in itself, is a great achievement for us; so to actually win and have our work recognised on a national level is brilliant.”
