Let Me In, Get Me Out Campaign Gets Seal of Approval

Lancashare member Access-enable, in conjunction with Alert Fire and Security, have announced that they have received the full support of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service for their ‘Let Me In, Get Me Out’ initiative.

The initiative encourages Access Consultants and Fire Risk Assessors to work together and remind building owners and managers of their duties to have a Fire Risk Assessment in place.

Vivien Pascoe of Access-enable said “When we improve access to existing buildings, alter buildings or build new, we need to look at fire safety and evacuation procedures. There are gaps and conflicts which can be resolved by working together to ensure that everyone including people who are deaf, blind, have cognitive or mobility disabilities can be evacuated”
