The new owners of Pendle Rise, one of East Lancashire’s biggest shopping centres has pledges to restore the troubled complex to it’s former glory.

Property developer Craig Brandwood will in plough £2.7 million over the next three years to “get it back to life”.


Colne based accountancy firm Hargreaves, Brown & Benson have celebrated 100 years of trading.

Pendle Conservative MP Andrew Stephenson was guest of honour at firms premises on Bond Street, where partners and staff marked the occasion with the cutting of a ribbon on a new plinth in their lobby.


Addington Capital, the owners of Burnley’s Charter Walk Shopping Centre have revealed that high street giant Primark are to become their new tennant. They will be moving into the unit previously occupied by Wilko.


Chris Smith, Managing Director of Nelson based Pendle Engineering has won a Special Achievement award at the 2017 E3 Business Awards.

Chris was one of four people recognised on the evening “as an individual who has shown great strength of spirit, strength and commitment in achieving business success”.
