Local community radio station Ribble Fm ( https://www.lancashare.co.uk/directorydetail/business-services/ribble-fm ) has been shortlisted in the annual National Community Radio Awards.
The station has made the shortlist, which was whittled down from more than 360 entries from 77 stations from every corner of the UK.
The station has picked up nominations in the following categories: Station of the Year, Community Development Programme, Newcomer to radio (Tom Watts) and Sage person of the year (Hughie Parr) categories for their outstanding work in Community Radio,
Ribble FM founder and executive director Kath Lord-Green, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised among a large number of other stations doing great work across the UK. We won 4 awards last year in Bristol (including silver station of the year in our first year) and we are looking forward to heading to Sheffield on 15th September with the team”
Martin Steers, awards chair, said: “Now in their third year, the entries are getting better and better, and we’re really able to show off the diverse broadcasting that the countries stations undertake for the benefit of their communities.”
